We’re all about getting folks out into the wild Northwest Montana backcountry on two wheels—no matter where you’re starting from.
Our Beginner Tour is built specifically for riders who already have some motorcycle experience (you know how to operate a clutch and shift gears) but have very little or zero dirt bike or mountain riding experience. This is truly your no-stress, fully dialed introduction to real dirt biking—the kind that builds real confidence and changes how you see the mountains on a bike.
We keep groups small and carefully build every tour around the people who sign up, so you’ll be riding with a tight crew of like-minded folks who are all at a similar ability level. Nobody gets left behind, nobody feels held back, and there’s no pressure from mismatched riders. It’s just good times with people who are in it for the same reason you are.

What's Included
- One of our dirt bikes for the entire tour (unless you bring your own)
- Riding gear (helmet, boots, gloves, jersey, pants, pack) (unless you bring your own)
- Safety Gear (Chest, knee, and elbow protection)

What the Ride Days Look Like
Day one is all about the fundamentals. Our experienced guides (led by Kyle) will spend dedicated time teaching you the core skills—body position, throttle control, smooth braking on dirt, standing technique, and how to read the trail ahead.
By the end of that first day you’ll already feel way more comfortable and confident on the bike, so the next couple days you can just focus on enjoying the ride and soaking it all in.
We ride at a relaxed but engaging pace through sweeping trails, fun fire roads, and beginnerish singletrack with incredible views—think incredible peaks, open valleys, rugged mountain scenery, and that pure backcountry freedom that makes every corner feel special.
It’s mellow enough for beginners so you aren’t getting beat up all day long but real enough to get you hooked.
This isn’t some watered-down intro. It’s the real deal: raw Northwest Montana wilderness, new skills, big smiles, and that dusty, tired-and-happy feeling you get after a proper day on the bike.

Kyle Allred the lead guide and owner of Flathead Outdoors and SnowBike Nation is an experienced rider with 25 years of 2 wheeled riding, and trained as a Wilderness First Responder and will provide you with an unparalleled experience in the mountains and roads of Montana. Growing up in Idaho and traveling to visit his family every summer in Montana left Kyle with an unquenchable thirst for exploration and getting off the beaten path. He’s lived in the Flathead Valley since 2008 but His Great Grandpa, Grandpa, and Father all grew up here.
